The Corneal Diseases Department provides modern techniques for the treatment of conical corneal disease, a disease that affects many young people and adults in the Kingdom; it occurs as a result of genetic and environmental factors. The conical cornea is treated at the beginning with non-surgical methods available at the Saggaf Center for Ophthalmology, but advanced conditions require corneal transplantation.

Corneal transplantation is a surgical procedure in which damaged or damaged corneal cornea is replaced by a corneal tissue from a newly deceased person who does not suffer from known diseases and does not carry any factors that may adversely affect the donated tissue or the patient’s tissue. The cornea is a transparent tissue that is located in the front of the eye and covers the iris, the forehead and the front eye chamber.
